DomainKeys Identified Email

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Email) is a reliable standard of authentification of the Domain name of the shipper of a Email. It constitutes an effective protection against the Pourriel and the Hameçonnage.

Indeed, DKIM functions by cryptographic signature of the body of the message and part of its headings. A signature DKIM thus checks the authenticity of the shipper field and guarantees the integrity of the message.

This technology was standardized by IETF in the RFC 4871.
