Dollywood

Dollywood is a Amusement park located at Pigeon Forges in the Tennessee, with the the United States. It belongs to the famous singer of country, Dolly Parton and with the Herschend Family Entertainment.

History

Opened in 1961, under the name of " Rebel Railroad ", it includes/understands at the time a train, shops and a saloon. In 1966, the park is famous " Goldrush Junction ". It will be repurchased by the football team American of the Browns of Cleveland in the Années 1970.

In 1976, Jack and Pete Herschend repurchases finally the park and in 1977, they re-elect it " Silver Dollar City Tennessee " , in reference to one of their other park (Silver Dollar City, close to Branson, in the Missouri.)

In 1986, Dolly Parton becomes joint owner, and the park is then famous Dollywood .

In addition to attractions traditional, the park has its own watery park (Dollywood' S Splash Country) and chains it theater-restaurants " Dixie Stampede ". The park reception several musical concerts and events throughout the year of which, of course of the spectacles given by Dolly Parton, but also in the concerts of national and local artists.
