Dollar of Singapore
The Dollar of Singapore is a currency based on the Dollar which has course with Singapore, whose code is SGD. It is generally shortened by the symbol $, or S$ to avoid confusions with other currencies bearing the name of dollar. It is divided into 100 hundred .
The tickets currently circulating have values spreading out from 1 to 10000 dollars. The tickets of 1 dollars are not any more produced and became rather rare. The current series (portraits) is characterized by the portrait of Yusuf Ishak on the side face of each ticket.
Recently, the monetary authorities of Singapore issued polypropylene tickets of two, five and ten dollars, always in the same series. These tickets are nonporous, nonfibrous.
