Dogneville

Dogneville is a common French, located in the department of the the Vosges and the area Lorraine.

Its inhabitants is called Bianlouts.

Geography

Dogneville is located at ten kilometers of Épinal. Benefitting at the same time from its rural nature and proximity from the chief town, Dogneville combines the peace of the countryside to the economic advantages, social and cultural of a city known as " moyenne". The forests occupy nearly the quarter of the territory of the commune.

History

On the blazon of Dogneville " ARNOU" point out Arnould, relative of Clotaire II and " DODA" the name of its wife, girl of the count de Boulogne. Arnould became bishop of Metz and Doda managed only the area and gave its name to the commune. The plane points out the aerodrome. The tower and the flowers come from the armorial bearings of Épinal. The name of Dogneville comes from the villa " Dodiniacavilla" of Arnould.
