Document of management of agricultural and forest space
The Law of Agricultural orientation of July 9th, 1999 envisages the realization of a document of management of agricultural and forest space (DGEAF) in each department.
This document “to carry to knowledge” identifies the stakes agricultural, forest, environmental and landscape and makes it possible to have an overall picture of all the parameters important to take into account for a decision-making aid on the management of the territories. It contributes with the definition of policies and the use of tools adapted to the stakes of the territories.
Objectives
All the objectives of such a document do not rise from the law nor of the decree which are not very directing. They are fixed locally by the committee which governs its development.
Main aims of the document of management of agricultural and forest space
To be a tool of knowledge of space thanks to relevant indicators relating to the characteristics and the stakes of the territories in the fields agricultural and forest, but also environmental and landscape.To be a guide containing of the recommendations zonées for the space management.
Which is the public aimed by the document of management of agricultural and forest space?

the administrations of the State which establish to carry them to knowledge (DTA, SCOT, RAINED…) or take part in the development of diagnoses of territory.
- elected officials responsible for the development of the documents of town planning and the Local development.
- representatives of the actors of the rural world (farmers, foresters, associations…).
- the general public since whole or part of information can be presented in a simple and gravitational way.
