Doctor fireman
The doctor fireman is a Médecin which generally works in an help center and intervenes with firemen at the time of plane reds or great road accidents when the situation is critique.

The emergency medical department (SMU) of the BSPP can exempt urgent medical care with the population on the whole of its territory of intervention, whatever the type of place: public, private, public highway, residence…
It intervenes for all the types of urgent situations: accidents of the public highway, traumatisms, burns, intoxications, medical emergency… etc
Moreover, the SMU of the BSPP ensures the Management of the Medical Helps at the time of events involving of many victims (Red Plan).
Even if its missions are often comparable, the SMU of the Brigade does not constitute a SMUR since it is not an hospital service and that its doctors do not have the statute of hospital doctors.
Its competence is interdépartementale, and extends on totality from the territory from intervention from the Brigade. By convention with the SAMU of departments 92,93 and 94, certain ambulances of reanimation of the Brigade intervene on their sector in the place of a SMUR, the request of the SAMU territorialement concerned or on the initiative of the medical coordination of the Brigade. This sectorization does not exist for the Town of Paris where AR intervene on all the territory.
The SMU of the BSPP also ensures of other missions:
The medical support of the firemen during the interventions presenting a particular risk. The medical safety of certain important public events. The medical safety of the President of the Republic and the Heads of foreign States during their official displacements. ”
