Doctor Lerne, under-god

Doctor Lerne, under-god (1908) is a novel of Maurice Renard inspired by the Island of Doctor Moreau of H.G. Wells. This work introduces in particular a strong alternative: the narrator himself is the object of an experiment of Clerc's Office.
