President of SCUF Rugby of 1951 to 1967

President of General sports SCUF of 1967 to 1983

This man born the July 3rd 1905, dies the February 9th 1984.

He marked a a whole generation and represents the ideal scufist in all his plenitude.

He adheres to the SCUF in 1923 and practical swimming and Rugby. He belongs to the first School of Rugby of the SCUF directed by the international scufist André Theuriet.

Its activity is intense, because not only he is a team-member first but at the same time he continues his studies of medicine, his boarding school and becomes famous surgeon. He does not stop there, since he will direct Rugby and the Club - a 30 years presidency all the same (!)- while becoming the President of the Medical Commission of the FR. For the international ones and " scufistes" , it is the Doctor .

The Doctor was always fascinated by the players of Rugby as well in team of France as within his club. He was an enthusiastic admiror of Anglo-Saxon Rugby, his organization, his grounds and his frame of mind. Thanks to him, the scufists knew the British Grounds (Edinburgh, Cardiff, Dublin, London).

He reinforced the bonds with Stratford, of which he will become Life-member.

Builder, it gave a seat to the SCUF, street of Chazelles of 1954 with 1978, where the scufists took place privileged and envied of all.

He was elected in 1960 Champion of the sporting leaders . SCUF was then a happy club… and could remain it.

Its more beautiful title was to have given to several generations the desire for playing SCUF, and for serving the club afterwards. Today, the majority of the leaders were players under the presidency of Doctor Martin.

SCUF always had large Presidents: Charles Brennus, Frantz Reichel, E.G Drigny… and Jean Martin.

The stories are numerous about this last, as well at the international ones as among scufists, and thanks to them it is always quite alive for us. and all we say " Thank you Toubib" !
