Biography
Djimon Hounsou arrives very early to France. It does not have whereas 13 years. It is found in Lyon in his brothers. But its studies not going, it launches out in the mannequinat, encouraged by its advantageous physique. In May 1987 it releases all and goes up on Paris, with the adventure. Arrived in 1990 at Los Angeles to become there actor, it holds its first role this same year in Without You I' m Nothing, then, two years later in the thriller of Jonathan Kaplan, fatal Obsession, followed in 1994 of a participation in Stargate of Roland Emmerich. Steven Spielberg, by offering to him the role of Cinque in Amistad, provides him the occasion to hold a first role, for which it moreover has just been nominated with the Golden Globes in the category Meilleur actor.
Its physique and its African origins make of him the perfect actor for the roles of " costaud" or of indigêne good and intelligent that do not make it believe the others.
