Django d\' Or

The Django d' Or reward each year in some European countries the best artists for Jazz.

The trophy is a creation of the French painter Raymond Moretti. It represents a flight of guitar on a signature of bronze Django Reinhardt, realized and stainless.

History

  • 1992 : first French edition of gold Django.
  • 1995: first Belgian edition of Django d' Or - Belgian Trophies of the jazz
  • 1998: first Swedish edition of Django d' Or - Swedish Trophies of the jazz
  • 1999: first Italian edition of Django d' Or - Belgian Trophies of the jazz
  • 2000: first edition of Eurojazz Awards /EuroDjango - European Trophies of the Jazz in Brussels
  • 2001: first Danish edition of Django d' Or - Danish Trophies of the jazz
