Djamolidine Abdoujaparov

Djamolidine Abdoujaparov is an Uzbek racing cyclist , born the February 28th 1964 with Tachkent in Ouzbékistan, at the time Soviet. He begins his professional path in Western Europe in 1990 and in 1997 finishes it. It measures 1 m 72 per 72 kg.

Called the “Express train of Tachkent”, he was a frightening sprinter, by in particular gaining 7 victories in the Tour of Spain, 1 in the Tour of Italy and 9 in the turn of France. He was victorious points score of Vuelta in 1992, Giro in 1994 and the Turn in 1991, 1993 and 1994. Aggressive and spectacular sprinter, it had attracted himself several enemies in the group and was implied in many falls, most famous remaining that of 1991 on the Champs Elysées at the time of the last stage of the Tour de France.

N.B.: Under the name of Dzhamolidine Abduzhaparov in the Soviet team amateur appears, in particular in the Tour of the Future 1985, where it gains a stage.
