Djamchid Momtaz

Djamchid Momtaz جمشيدممتاز|Jamshid Momtāz , was born on June 18th, 1942 with Izmir. It obtained its license of public law to and saving the Faculty of Law in Paris (1966). In 1968, it obtains its diploma of the institute of political studies of Paris (1968) and makes its Doctorate of state in public law to the social science and, economy Faculty of Law of the university of Paris II (1971).

Public international law professor with the University of Teheran and Professor invited to the universities Paris I, Paris XI, Paris XIII, of Grenoble II and Caen.

He was Member of the Commission of the international law of the United Nations of 2000 to 2006 (president of this same commission to its 57ème session in 2005).

He is associated institute of international law. Member of the Commission for the payment of the litigations relating to the confidentiality of the Organization for the prohibition of the chemical weapons. Member of the International institute of the humanitarian right. Member of the editorial board of Yearbook off International Humanitarian Law. Member of the management committee of the study of the International committee of the Red Cross on the usual rules of the humane international law.

Member of the delegation of Iran to the peace talks Iran-Iraq. Member of the delegation of Iran to the International Conference on the protection of the victims of the war. Member of the group of expert intergovernmental for the protection of the victims of the war. Member of the delegation of Iran to the diplomatic conference the plenipotentiary ones of the United Nations on the creation of a International penal court.

With taken part in all the sessions of the General meeting of the United Nations since 1989.
