Philippe Vandevelde , known as Philippe Tome (born the February 24th 1957 with Brussels) is a Belgian scenario writer of Cartoon.

Biography

  • With Janry, it began again and animated the series Spirou and Fantasio (1982 to 1998) then imagined the Petit Spirou (Dupuis, 1987), become one of the best-sellers of these last years.

  • For Luc Warnant then Bruno Gazzotti, it creates SODA (Dupuis, 1984), New Yorkean false-Pasteur but truth-police officer.
  • With Christian Darasse, it plunges in the universe of the draftsmen of data base in evil of sentimental emotions with the series the Gang Mazda (Dupuis 1991), and thereafter in water turquoises of a populated lagoon of naturists: Minoukini (Glénat 1998).

For a production placed under the sign of imagination, it is necessary to add On the Road of Selma (realistic drawings of Philippe Berthet 1991) published in the collection free Aire Dupuis and at Dargaud the very black trilogy Berceuse Assassinates (drawing: Ralph Meyer )

In the same editor, since April 2005, following his reflections on the evolution of the modern data base, it inaugurates launching of the collection " Cosmo" who wants to be “with crossed of three field crops data base” (Franco-Belgian, manga and comics) with two new series: " Feux" (with Marc Hardy with the drawing) and soon " Rages" (with daN Verlinden)

Inter alia rewards, it has, with the Janry draftsman for the series " Spirou and Fantasio" and " Small Spirou" obtained three Alph' Art at the International fair of the Cartoon of Angouleme in the " categories; Jeunesse" and " Humor".
