Divette

Divette is a small French river affluent of the Oise out of Right Bank.

Geography

Divette occurs in wood located at the south-west of the locality of Lassigny, in the Département of Oise. It is thrown in the Oise with Passel, locality located at little distance downstream from Noyon.

Hydrology

The flow of Divette was observed for one 37 years period (1971-2007), with Passel, locality of the department of Oise, located at the level of its confluence (ref.: ). The catchment area of the river is of 72 km ².

The interannual medium flow or module of the river with Passel is of 0,385 m ³ a second.

Divette presents seasonal fluctuations of flow not very important. The high waters take place in winter and are accompanied by average monthly flows going from 0,470 to 0,567 m ³ a second, from December to April included (maximum in February). As of April, the flow decreases gradually until the period of the low waters of summer, which are held in August and in September, with a fall of the monthly medium flow to 0,175 m ³ a second during the two months (175 liters a second), which is still very consistent.

With the low water level, the VCN3 can fall until 0,110 m ³, in the event of dry period quinquennial, that is to say 110 liters a second, which is by no means severe for such a small river. The VCN3 is the past minimal quantity or minimal flow over three days consecutive.

In addition the risings are rather not very important. The QIX 2 and QIX 5 or calculated flows of biennial and quinquennial rising are worth respectively 1,9 and 2,8 m ³. The QIX 10 or calculated flow of decennial rising is worth 3,4 m ³ a second, while the QIX 20 is of 4 m ³. Finally the QIX 50 is assembled to 4,8 m ³ a second (see note). Was the recorded maximum instantaneous flow with Passel of 9,1 m ³ a second on January 4th, 2003, while the value maximum day laborer would have been (?) of 14,2 m ³ a second on January 6th, 2001. By comparing the first of these figures with the values of the various QIX of the river, it appears that this rising was much more than cinquantennale and thus completely exceptional.

The Lame of water past in the basin of Divette is of 169 millimetres annually, which is rather weak sutout within the framework of the west of the basin of Oise. It is of course definitely lower than the overall average of France, and lower also than the whole of the catchment area of the Seine (240 millimetres), as well as Oise (243 mm). The specific Débit (or Qsp) is assembled consequently at 5,3 liters a second and per square kilometer of basin.
