Ditches (caprine race)

The goat of the ditches is a race French Caprine.

Origin

It comes from the areas bordering on the shore on the Manche. As its name indicates it, it high in the ditches, attached to a stake or was kept by the child. It thus developed an uncultivated space all while maintaining it clean.

Morphology

Of intermediate size to small, it wears a dress of variable color, often a mixture of hairs white, gray, black and brown. The hairs are long and hanging. It carries more or less flattened triangular horns of section.

Aptitudes

It was traditionally high for its meat and its milk transformed into cheese. Its statute of threatened species any more but does not enable him to be a pretty goat in the animalist parks of safeguard of old races or ecological mower cehz in love ones with this race.
