Different the Sub-prefecture S from the Yvelines (French Department).
The four Arrondissement S current have like Chef-lieu: Versailles , Mantes-the-Pretty, Rambouillet, Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer.

District of Versailles, 15.500 ha, 10 cantons, 19 communes;
- District of Mantes-the-Pretty, 82.542 ha, 8 cantons, 117 communes;
- District of Rambouillet, 95.030 ha, 5 cantons, 81 communes;
- District of Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer, 33.983 ha, 16 cantons, 45 communes.
History
- March 4th 1790: creation of the department of Seine-et-Oise
- February 17th 1800: creation of the districts of Mantes and Versailles
- 1812: creation of the district of Rambouillet
- September 10th 1926: removal of the district of Mantes
- 1943: restoration of the district of Mantes
- November 7th 1962: creation of the district of Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer
- January 1st 1968: removal of the department of Seine-et-Oise and creation of the department of the Yvelines with its four districts.
- November 29th 1969: fastening of the communes of Toussus-the-Noble Châteaufort and with the district of Versailles (they were previously attached to the the Essonne).
