History

• 1790 : creation of the department of Oise with 9 districts: Beauvais, Breteuil, Chaumont, Clermont, Compiegne, Crépy, Grandvilliers, Boundary-line, Senlis
• 1800: creation of the districts: Beauvais, Clermont, Compiegne, Senlis
• 1926: removal of the district of Clermont
• 1942: restoration of the district of Clermont
