Localization

The district of the Country house is located on Right Bank of Bordeaux. It is divided between several districts: the districts Queyries, Benauge, Galin Thiers, Deschamps, Brazza.

It covers the zone, of the South in North, on the basis of the bridge of Pierre, Place Stalingrad, to the bridge Saint Emilion which marks the border between Bordeaux and Cenon.

The district of Queyries extends from the Stalingrad Place to the street Bouthier which delimits the border between Brazza and Queyries. Indeed, Brazza has a vocation primarily industrial. History

The district of the Country house was integrated, during half of the 19th century, at the town of Bordeaux.
Previously the district of the Country house was attached to the town of Cenon. The town of Bordeaux wished to integrate it in its center because of the many activities Industrie lles which existed there. It was an economic pole for the town of Bordeaux.
The shipyards were numerous there, like the shipyards of the Gironde, like various industries.

Reputation of the Country house

The Right Bank kept a rather negative reputation among inhabitants of left bank of Bordeaux. Indeed, the Usine S which settled with the Country house brought floods of Travailleur S. The bad reputation of this district is old because it is told that Charlemagne would have liked to come to Bordeaux by Right Bank and that it would have been lost since before, the Right Bank was an immense marsh, only the village of Trégey existed at that time.
