The district of Thiers is a French administrative division , located in the department of the Puy-de-Dôme and the area Auvergne.
Composition
Joins together since 1942 the current cantons of:- Canton of Châteldon, which groups 6 communes:

Canton of Courpière, which groups 10 communes:
- Aubusson-in Auvergne, Augerolles, Courpière, Olmet, Renaudie, Holy-Agathe, Sauviat, Sermentizon, Vollore-Mountain and Vollore-City.

Canton of Lezoux, which groups 12 communes:
- Bulhon, Charnat, Bursting-Laveine, Culhat, Lempty, Lezoux, Néronde-on-Gilds, Orléat, Peschadoires, Saint-Jean-with Heurs, Seychalles and Vinzelles.
