The district of Pithiviers is a French administrative division , located in the department of the Loiret and the area Center.

From 1926 to 1942
The reform of 1926 removed the district of Pithiviers:
- Canton of Beaune-the-Rolande, (attached to the district of Montargis) ;
- Canton of Malesherbes, (attached to the district of Orleans) ;
- Canton of Outarville, (attached to the district of Orleans);
- Canton of Pithiviers, (attached of 1926 to 1942 with the district of Orleans) ;
- Canton of Puiseaux, (attached to the district of Montargis) .
The reform of 1942 restored the district in its composition of origin (constant of 1800 (year VIII) with 1926).
