District of Karatu
The district of Karatu is one of the five districts of the area of Arusha in Tanzania. It is bordered in north by the District of Ngorongoro, by the area of Shinyanga in the east, by the District of Monduli to the east and the area of Manyara in the south and south-east.
According to the recencement national one of 2002, the population of the district is of 178.434 inhabitants.
