District of Hechuan

The district of Hechuan (合川区; Pinyin: Héchuān Qū) is a subdivision of the municipality of Chongqing in China. The urban center of the district is located at about fifty kilometers of the center of Chongqing, with the confluence of two rivers, the Fu and qu, with the Jialing.

Its surface is of 2 356,21 km ².

The population of the district was of: 1509094 inhabitants in 1999.
