Distress

Disress is a group of Doom melody metal/Death French of origin Strasbourg eoise. The group is assembled by Philippe Miralles and Laurent Haas in 1996.

Works

In 1998, Distress records its first demonstration, baptized Quest Of Elegy, which will then incluera the practically final versions of pieces drawn from their first album “Close To Heaven”, published in February 2001.

Always in 2001, the current guitarist of the group, Eric Lorentz, previously in the Anorma group, joined Distress. The first concert in June takes place with Haguenau.

Then with the end of the year, the beater of Anorma, Julien Diebold, joined the group.

From 2002, until its exit in September 2004, Distress works on The Mourning Sign, on which orientations are marked, " more frozen and melancholic persons that jamais".

In 2003 Julien decides to leave Distress. It is then replaced by Thibaut XHAARD.

And finally, the group remakes surface thanks to Others, them 3rd Album.
