Dissé-under it Lude is located in the south of the department of the the Sarthe, with the intersection of a North-South axis Mans/Saumur, and of a West-east axis Laval/Tours.
The commune is located on the buttresses of the Vallée of the Dormouse and crossed in its center by the Rivière Marconne, affluent of the Loir according to a North-South direction and to the west, by the Ruisseau Laugh-Yes.

History
The history of Dissé is closely attached to that of Lude, sits of a castle pertaining to the counts of Anjou.Under the Old Mode, Dissé-under-The-Lude is attached to the secondary seneschalsy of Baugé dependant on the principal seneschalsy of Angers.
Dissé-under-The-Lude fact part of a band of territory, called the Maine angevin, taken on the Province of Anjou around the towns of the Arrow, Lude and Castle-of-Dormouse and attached to the French revolution, on March 4th, 1790 pursuant to the law of December 22nd, 1789, with part of the Province of the Maine to form the department the Sarthe.
The legend of Martin Saint
The area is marked by the presence of Saint Martin de Vertou which contributed to it to the establishment of many churches. The local legend wants that Saint Martin de Vertou, noting the absence of bell-tower on the church of Dissé, went to seek that of the Broc and carried it on its back to the village. Harassed by such a work, it threw its hammer. At the place of its fall, the tool made spout out a fountain which from now on is dedicated to the saint.

Castle of Lorrière (or Laurière). Built in second half of the 15th century, it was restored and increased of 1865 to 1875 according to the plans of Ernest Dainville. The castle is a manor with two parts and turn of staircase power station. It was altered thereafter of 1922 to 1939. The gardens were created by the landscape gardener Jules Vacherot. The Castle of Lorrière is registered with the inventory of the historic buildings dated December 3rd, 2001.
