Disney Channel France

The French-speaking variation of Disney Channel is diffused since March 1997 on the cable and the satellite via mainly the bouquet of CanalSat. It diffuses primarily animated series. The company Disney Channel France has however was created since 1996. But she proposed also an emission with organizers called Zapping Zone which was removed in 2004 after eight years of success.

The chain is diffused since its studios located at Marne the Valley in the east of Paris, within the amusement park Walt Disney Studios. Besides attraction Walt Disney Télévision Studios makes it possible to visit part of the chain of which the control of diffusion.

History

The November 2nd 2002, the chain was divided into 4 under-chains:

  • Disney Channel
  • Disney Channel +1 (diffused with one hour of shift)
  • Playhouse Disney for youngest
  • Toon Disney for the pre-teenagers

The September 4th 2007, the chain Toon Disney was replaced by Disney Cinemagic . This one programs mainly traditional films Walt Disney and studios of Pixar animation. Disney Cinemagic+1 proposes a diffusion with one hour of shift.

From here the end of the year 2007, a program in high-definition will make its appearance: Disney Cinemagic HD .

The October 23rd 2007, the Superior council of audio-visual the pinned the various chains of Disney in France for their programming in 2006. SCUMS alert Playhouse Disney on the absence of investment in the total audio-visual production, of French and independent expression. For Disney Channel , SCUMS mets keep of it the chain for its absence of investments in the independent individual production and puts it in residence concerning its quotas of diffusion at the hour for great listening.
