Disney Channel

Disney Channel is a television program for the youth diffused on FR3 of the January 26th 1985 with the December 31st 1988 at one time when the chain éponyme, Disney Channel, did not exist in France.

History

Disney Channel arrived on FR3, for the first time, the January 26th 1985. It is about a family emission suggested by Gerard Jourd' today (producing of the last meeting ). This emission takes again certain programs of the American chain Disney Channel, which will arrive to France only in February 1997.

First season

The emission proposed starting from 20:05: the Adventures of Winnie the bear cub presented by Jean Rochefort, repeated the next morning towards 9:00, then to 20:30 of the Cartoon S Disney, Zorro , Donald Duck presents , Disney Souvenirs , Disney TV and Davy Crockett .

Second season

In September 1986, of new additional programs arrive with the afternoon of Disney Channel then renamed Mickey, Donald and Compagnie , on FR3 each Tuesday then each Monday towards 17:00 in the unit youth Amuse3 , with the program: wonders of nature and Gummis .

Third season

In January 1987, of new series are programmed with in particular:
  • Kit Carson
  • Gallegher
  • the Scarecrow
  • Elfego Baca
  • the Fox of the marshes

Fourth season

As from September 1987, the Adventures of Winnie the bear cub , after having known a passage to 19:35 during the summer, yield their place to the humorous emission of Fabrice the Class and are diffused only Sunday morning in the neighborhoods of 8:30.

With 20:35, the emission proposes the series " Texas John Slaughter ".

Fifth and last season

1988 is the year of the very last season of the emission. At the beginning of January, the emission undergoes a new face lift (new credits, new jingle), then especially a new formula. Presented from now on by the young person Vincent Perrot, the emission is diffused in two parts each Saturday.

The first part of 17:00 to 19:00, then the second part diffused in the neighborhoods of 20:35, after the 19/20 of information and the Class .

Monday afternoon towards 17:30, the emission Mickey, Donald and Compagnie , is always diffused in the emission youth Amuse3 , and Wednesday morning, towards 10:00, it is the repeat broadcast of a Disney Channel of the year 1987.

In 1988, the emission Disney Channel is thus diffused in two parts. The first starting from 17:00, and the second starting from 20:35 on FR3.

The first part was created with an aim of competing with another emission youth, also presents Saturday afternoon to 17:00, on the private channel of Silvio Berlusconi, the Five: Youpi! The school is finished .

The series the Adventures of Winnie the bear cub from now on is diffused in the first part of the Disney Channel to 17:05, followed by a Festival of traditional cartoons , Minute Disney presenting a large masterpiece of the studios Walt Disney, and of a series, Diligence Express train .

Then, for the second part, Vincent Perrot presented between two Disney cartoons: the Band with Picsou , followed series the Knight Light , replaced on June 18th, 1988 by " Super Flics". The second began with 20:40 and was the occasion to see and re-examine many televised series of the studios Disney: These series were followed sequence Bon weekend Mickey in which a cartoon of Mickey was diffused, Donald or Nutcase.

The emission Disney Channel stopped on December 31st 1988. However the emission reached good scores on FR3, but Disney wanting to impose its programs on FR3, the chain refused and the contract was not renewed.

Disney will sign finally with TF1. The private channel of Bouygues, proposes several emissions to them: the " Club Dorothée " , with " Disney Saturday " and " Disney Sunday " like " Disney Parades " proposed by Gerard Louvin and presented by Jean-Pierre Foucault.

At the time of the last week of December 1988, TF1 proposes already two Disney emissions. On Sunday, December 25, Dorothée wishes a good birthday with Mickey with Happy birthday Mickey . As for Jean-Pierre Foucault, it presents to us a special program at Disney World, on Thursday, December 29 with 20:35.

Disney Sunday begins on January 1st 1989 with 8:00 in the Club Dorothée and after midday, it is with the turn of Disney Parade with Jean-Pierre Foucault and Pilou on line of the house of Mickey.
