Disintegration

12th album of The Cleans left in 1989 with environment close to the trilogy Seventeen Second (1980)/Faith (1981)/Pornography (1982). The old demons of Robert Smith are of return and it video of first individual Lullaby, realized by Tim Pope, is the illustration. Even if certain songs are rather " merry " , like Lullaby or Lovesong , the feeling which dominates in Disintegration is nostalgia. The tone is immediately given with Plainsong , an quasi-instrumental song, whose melody is dominated by large fronts of low Guitare.
At the end of the sessions, the group was practically dislocated, and since, each new album is supposed being the last.
