Dirty Dance hall (subtitle: Have the time off your life ) is an American film carried out by Emile Ardolino, left in 1987.

Synopsis

Baby - of his true Frederique first name - girl of a rich person family, spends his holidays with his parents and his sister to the boarding house Kellerman in the state of Oregon, at the time of the summer 1963. She will be confronted with a world which is completely foreign for him, that of the Danse. In spite of the dissension of his father, Bébé will know a history of love with Johnny, one of the professors of dance of the establishment, resulting from an social environment very different from that from the young woman.

  • the film had much success, in spite of a small budget and actors then far from known. The original soundtrack of film one of was sold in the world, with song such as She' S Like the Wind , written and interpreted by Patrick Swayze, Hungry Eyes , sung by Eric Carmen, and (I' ve Had) The Time off My Life , composed by Franke Previte and interpreted in Duo by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, which gained the Oscar better song.
  • the film was turned to Mountain Lake (Virginia) and to Lake Lure (North Carolina).
  • In 2004 left Dirty Dancing 2 , which cannot be regarded as a true continuation insofar as the film does not take again the same characters, but the same screen (kind of Remake transposed to Havana). Patrick Swayze holds a small role however to with it.
