Directional panel of confirmation (France)
In the field of the indication of direction in France, the panels of confirmation of the type D60 confirm the mentions served by the road on which they are established. They are composed of several regsitres rectangular superimposed.
History
The highways were create only in 1955 and in addition it was not nowhere made mention, in the law, of separated roadways, contrary to a usually widespread opinion. It is what explains why the indication of the highways was not the immediate attention object. It is only with the instruction of March 22nd, 1982, that the panels of warning appear. The panels currently in force are not any more those of 1982.
Confirmation of slipping by or left
The table of identification of the panels of confirmation of slipping by or exit on road or highway is the following. The panels D61a, D62a, D61b, D62b, D62c and D62d are surmounted by a cartouche of the E40 type indicating the number and the nature of the road concerned.
