Direct-Die

A Direct-Die assembly is a type of assembly of systems of cooling of Computer material. Contrary to a system of Watercooling running, the Eau comes directly into contact with IHS of the Microprocesseur.

Goal

The Direct-Die makes it possible to eliminate an intermediary in the circuit from cooling: bottom of the Waterblock. The Eau circulates directly on the Microprocesseur, which brings better a Heat transfer.
The Direct-Die is used rather little, in particular because of the risks which this kind of installation involves. The circuit is not completely any more hermetic, and an escape could make run Eau on the mother chart and destroy it.

Waterblock

The Waterblock does not lay out then basic any more, it is open. It is necessary to put at it a seal in order to avoid to the maximum the escapes.
