In its modern meaning, the diplomatic bag is a means of transport used to exchange various objects under cover of the diplomatic Immunity. Its use is governed by international conventions to which the countries practitioner are held the diplomacy.

In its oldest meaning, this term indicated a Valise which was used to transport various diplomatic dispatches. With the improvement of the means of transport, the Embassy modern S and other diplomatic bodies receive and transmit objects definitely larger than the size of a bag.
