Diploma of technical higher learning

Diploma of French higher education delivered by the Conservatory National of Arts and Trades (CNAM).

Titrate approved, registered with RNCP (Official journal of April 10th, 1981).

The courses are those of higher education, it sanctions 2 to 3 years of studies after a Vat +2 scientist or technique.

the diploma is obtained by the capitalization of Units of Values (U.V.) organized in progress and/or practical works.

Each unit of teaching gives place to a control of knowledge, either by an annual review, or by the combination: annual review - continuous assessment. After success with the examinations (note > 10/20), certificates of the values or half-values for the units aquises are established.

Conditions of obtaining the DEST: to be 23 years old minimum, to have a university diploma of 1st cycle, to have acquired all U.V envisaged (generally 7), to meet the conditions of track records.

Since the Reform LMD, the DEST is in the course of replacement (just like the ). The diploma will not be delivered any more after 2009. It is approved until December 31st, 2007.

The holders of this diploma are required for their technical skills due to a strong implication in professional environment.
