Diploma of scientific and technical academic works
DEUST (Diploma of Scientific and Technical Academic work) a Diploma French of higher education which is done in two years. Deust is a formation professionnalisante, it can be in alternation and is targeted on a particular sector (data-processing, water treatment, etc ). This formation tends to disappear with the arrival from reform LMD (License-Master-Doctorate). It is however a right formula for the immediate insertion of the young people in the work world. Indeed, of many training courses are offered (and obligatory) which target on its own course to come. Moreover, the pedagogical team is made up of academics, professionals (director in human resources, for example) of the material taught and of speakers proposing a current vision of their own field. Not being a formation of more than 4 years, the DEUST does not make it possible to immigrate in the USA in the category skilled worker .
The possible continuation of the university course can be supplemented by a Professional License (vat +3). Master Professionnel (vat +5) will specify and refine the first three years post-vat. Certain schools of engineer (especially that which are directed industry) allow the admission of first-year student of cycle engineer. Indeed the DEUST is a formation professionalisante which gives to the seen student one of the considerable industrial world. This all the more if it is obtained by the means of alternation.
