Diphasic mechanics of the fluids

The mechanical of the fluids diphasic is the field of the Mécanique fluids (gas or liquid) which consists in studying what it occurs when one deals with several fluids which run out together: it can be a question of the same fluid present in two different phases (water and vapor by expl…), of two different liquids in the same phase (water and oil liquids by expl, that interests oil industry particularly) or two different fluids in a different phase (water and air for a commonplace expl)… The behavior of a flow in the presence of two different fluids is strongly modified compared to the monophasic case; this is why it is at present one of the most active under-fields (on the level of research and the publications) of the mechanics of the fluids.
