Dionysius Cato , Latin author
It left 4 moral books of Distique S which obtained much vogue to the Moyen-âge. They had a great number of editions and were translated in all the languages of the Europe.
The most estimated editions:
- of the Distiques is those of Otto Arntzenius
- cum notis variorum , Amsterdam, 1754
- of Friedrich Zarncke, Leipsig, 1852.
They were translated into 1533 under this title:
- Words and sentences gilded of Master of wisdom Caton , and reprinted in 1798 by Antoine-Marie-Henri Boulard.
Jules-François Chenu again translated them into 1843, in the Collection Panckoucke. Julien Through put them in worms, Caen, 1837.
