Dionne Warwick

Dionne Warwick (born Marie Dionne Warrick the December 12th 1940 with Orange East, New Jersey) is a North-American singer. She is especially known as interprets songs written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, with which she celebrated great successes in the years 1960. During its career, it received five Grammy Award S. Since the years 1990, its recordings meet definitely less the favor of the public.

Dionne adopted the name War' w' ick in consequence of an typographical error on the small pocket of its first individual in 1963. Between 1971 and approximately 1974, it added a " there; e" on the councils of a numerologist.

Dionne Warwick is the cousin of Whitney Houston (their mothers were sisters). His/her sister, Dee Dee Warwick, is also singer.

Currently, Dionne shares its time between Rio de Janeiro, where it has a comfortable house, and the United States. Its last album for Arista Aquarela C Brasil (Watercolour of Brazil) of 1994 was acclaimed by criticism, and it is to some extent a window of its love of long time for the people and the music of his country of adoption.
