Diocese of Pontoise
The Diocèse of Pontoise is a particular Église of the Catholic church covering the department of the Val-d'Oise, that is to say: 1246 km ² and: 1105464 inhabitants (1999). The episcopal see of the diocese created the October 9th 1966 by Paul VI is localized with Pontoise.
The Saint-Maclou church of Pontoise became cathedral with the creation of the Diocèse in 1966.
The diocese of Pontoise depends on the ecclesiastical Province of Paris.
The diocese of the Val-d'Oise account twelve deanery S: the deanery of the Vexin, the deanery of Cergy, the deanery of Pontoise, the deanery of Beaumont, the deanery of Herblay - Taverny, the deanery of Ermont - Eaubonne, the deanery of Argenteuil, the deanery of Écouen, the deanery of Enghien, the deanery of Sarcelles, the deanery of Gonesse and the deanery of Luzarches.
