Diocese of Mende

The diocese of Mende raises since 2002 of the ecclesiastical Province of Montpellier. It recovers the entirety of the department of the Lozere, and was a long time one of richest of France, in particular thanks to the contributions of the bishop Aldebert III of Tournel and the Bienheureux Pape Urbain V.

Named bishop of Mende on January 16th, 2007, Mgr François Jacolin was ordered bishop on March 18th, 2007.

The diocese animates the radio Water-Sharp Lozere, it was also the founder of the newspaper the cross of Lozere, become since the Lozere Nouvelle.
