Dinsheim-on-Beetle
Dinsheim-on-Beetle is a common French, located in the department of the the Low-Rhine and the area Alsace. Before the decree n° 2003-736 of the 2003, the commune was called Dinsheim.
Anecdote: Many confusions with the village of Dingsheim (in the canton of Truchtersheim) returned the hard life to the deliverymen and to post-office employees. Addition of name " on-Bruche" license finally to avoid all unhappy confusion.
Geography
History
In 1875, holy year, was set up on the hill of Schiebenberg (alt. 317 m) a statue of the Virgin to the Child. Of 1828 with 1832, construction of the church Simon Saints and Jude. In 1834, the municipal council decided to make build an organ of the type Stiehr, transport with Dinsheim was carried out in December 1835.In April 1917, the German authorities requisitioned the pipes of frontage of the organ of the church.
January 7th 1987, the church was victim of a serious fire which destroyed the organ almost completely. It was restored in 1990.
