Dinobot

Dinobot is a character of the series Animutants . In spite of its name, it has nothing to do with the section of robot-dinosaurs seen in the series Transformers.

History

Dinobot belonged to the prédators committed by Mégatron to help it to dominate the galaxy as a second. However, it was shown quickly in dissension with its chief, whose behavior was too in disagreement with its ideas. After the crash landing of the vessel prédator, it disputed with him, showing it to have failed and to be responsible for the situation of the team. He insulted it and caused it in duel, hoping to replace it. But Mégatron refused the duel and drove out it, ordering in Scorpinor to draw to him above. Made even more furious by this loose attitude, Dinobot joined the maximals, starting again its challenge on primal Optimus in the hope to take the head of the maximals to fight against Mégatron. Not being opposed to its entry in the team, Optimus took up the challenge and, contrary to Mégatron, recognized its limits. The combat was stopped by an attack prédator, and at the end of the battle, Dinobot, which had fought maximum side, was accepted as a simple warrior, grateful Optimus as chief.

Dinobot remains maximum thereafter during all season 1 and the large majority of season 2, or he is devoted to Optimus. He seizes the gold discs of Mégatron in " New arrival left 1" and hides them, one under a rock, the other in Alaxon. In " Return to the sources" , it turns over side of the prédators temporarily. For that, it beats Quickstrike in a combat organized by the prédators and gives one of the discs to Mégatron. But when one forces to him to kill Rattrap, it cannot be solved to make it and again joined the maximals, which will not make however any more confidence thereafter. In, " Bad Spark" , preparing in the worst case, it records its memory on the maximum computer, without the knowledge of the others. Finally, in " Code heros" off; , he faces all the prédators in a fierce combat to save the future of the human ones. Although it succeeds in saving the human ones, the damage inflicted with its body is too important to be repaired, and it dies in the middle of the maximals at the end of the episode, after having regained their regard. Its last words will be: " Tell my stories with those which require it. Said theirs precisely; the bad facts as much as the goods, and let be to me judged in agreement. The remainder… is silence". After which, its vital spark will leave its body and will fly away, greeted by all the maximals, Rattrap in first.

Character

Dinobot is dark, coleric and often in dissension with the others maximals, which does not make him for the majority not confidence (with primal Optimus share). It disputes in particular with Rattrap, which it apparently mistakes for its cowardice and its apparent weakness (they accumulate the exchanges of the insults, most frequent being " Head of iguane" by Rattrap and " Vermisseau" by Dinobot). However, Dinobot is devoted to primal Optimus, and is almost always the first to be launched out on Mégatron to the combat. It has moreover a great direction of the honor and duty and a honesty without fault, respecting with the letter the traditional codes of combat of the prédators (One can make on this point of view a bringing together with the Bushido, code of honor of the samurai). This quality is often visible in its attitude, as in its combat against Optimus, or he refused to complete the maximum chief by a treacherous attack. One can as note as it is courageous, since it does not hesitate to face adversaries stronger or more than him (to want to face in combat with dead Mégatron, which is twice larger than him, is an good example). Its knowledge in history and on its former comrades are at least as useful for the maximals as its talents of warriors. It is moreover a warrior veteran, who knows well the logic of the war and the way of thinking of Mégatron, that of which it will be useful in " The Law of Jungle" to convince Tigatron to return. It is the maximals to only fear the return on Cybertron, because it is persuaded that it will be there accommodated like a criminal.

Description

Its animal mode is a vélociraptor with the peaud yellow-orange and chestnut, which is not without pointing out the dinosaurs of the same species in Jurassic Park. Its way serious, raucous and trailing has sometimes a whistling accent. In robot mode, it becomes massive and powerful, with a fine face of turquoise color surmounted of a helmet of samourail. It is equipped with a sword-drilling machine resulting from the spinal column from its tail, with a rotatory blade being used to him as arm-shield (and, possibly, of propeller to fly on short distances) and frightening laser beams greens which it can make spout out its eyes

Clones of Dinobots

Season 1

In season 1, episode " Clone" , Mégatron creates a clone of Dinobot equipped with an artificial intelligence without vital spark. It had the same personality as Dinobot truth, but without any direction of the honor, and was identical for him in animal mode, although it is unable to change (and thus did not have robot mode). The prédators, after having neutralized (for a time, at least) true Dinobot, used its clone to move away the others maximals from Alaxon, while the clone decontaminated the shield " Sentinel" to deliver the base to Mégatron. Learning that this one could not change, it chooses, to overcome it with honor, to fight it in animal mode. After a fierce combat, Dinobot truth left victorious and ate its clone. Optimus will say to him then that it is " Dégoûtant".

Season 3: Dinobot Transmetal 2

After the death of Dinobot, Mégatron remained obsessed by the treason of its second, and continued to work to create clones. It started by creating raptors cyborgs to eliminate the human ones, but those finished, with the maximals, by finding the weak point of the creatures. After that, Mégatron decided to create a new perfectly successful clone of Dinobot.

To achieve this cloning, it seized, with the assistance of Byznator, of a capsule of survival containing a maximum protoform, and brought it to a machine. There, it injected with the protoform DNA of Dinobot, improved it with the Conducteur Transmetal and added to its vital spark half of that of Rampage. In this case, no one does not know what it would be occurred of him, but one can suppose that it remained on the Earth, before, perhaps, to find a means of turning over on Cybertron…
