Dimítris Papaïoánnou

Dimítris Papaïoánnou (in Greek: Δημήτρης Παπαϊωάννου ), often called Mímis Papaïoánnou ( Μίμης Παπαϊωάννου ), born in 1942, is old a Football Greek or , at the station of attacker.

He was the striker of AEK Athens and the team of Greece during the years 1960-1970.

Courted by the Real Madrid in the middle of the Sixties, there remains faithful to the AEK with which he gains five titles of champion of Greece (1963, 1968,1971,1978,1979) and two cuts of Greece (1966, 1978). He is also better striker of the championship in 1964 and 1966.

He obtains 61 selections in team of Greece and marks 21 goals.

In 1980, it leaves to finish its career in the American championship (NASL) with the Pancyprian of New York where he is trainer-player.

Aves its 234 goals marked under the shirt of the AEK, he is the second best striker of all times of the Greek championship, behind Thomás Mávros (261).
