Dimethylhydrazine
The asymmetrical Dimethylhydrazine (UDMH), NH2-N (CH3) 2 is used like Carburant of rocket, associated with the nitric Acid smoking. This couple constitutes a Propergol, a fuel of very high fidelity like the Ergol S and propellents. They are very specific products (Hydrogène liquid, dimethylhydrazine, Peroxyde of nitrogen…) whose combustion puts in work either air but of the pure Oxygène in the liquid state. The Hydrazine gives with the nitric acid of the particularly energy reactions of the hypergolic type thanks to its endothermicity (Is about 300 S). Hydrazine made place with a methylated derivative, the dimethylhydrazine asymmetrical, more stable, therefore less suitable for explosions, liquid at lower temperature (- 57 C instead of 1 C), and of comparable performances.
