Dimension Films
Dimension Films is a subsidiary company of the Weinstein Company since 2005. It was before a founded subsidiary company of Miramax Films in 1993 by the Weinstein brothers, like complement of the company. It is specialized in films of kind, at the origin mainly those of horror and science fiction.
It had been repurchased in 1995 with Miramax by the Walt Disney Company.
In 2005, following a disagreement between the direction of Disney and the director-founders of Miramax, the company it is dissociated from its Miramax head office. Around this studio, the fères Weinstein recreated a new business, Weinstein Company.
It is especially known to have produced the series of the Scary Movie , whose four episodes parody great cinematographic successes of the Années 2000 and the Spy Kids . One can also note The Crow and the trilogy Scream.
