Dim Mak

The Dim Mak is Chinese ancestral martial art consisting in tackling certain particular points being on the body of an adversary.

These points are called points of Dim Mak, points of pressure, vital Points, nervous points… They are in fact of the points of Acupuncture, located on the energy circuits of the Chinese Médecine.

These points can thus be used to wound an adversary but also to look after a patient, from where double interest of the control of Dim Mak.

An attack on one of these points can wound the adversary simply, cause a faintness or a loss of consciousness, to immobilize it by action on a nerve, to see causing its death immediate or delayed in time… Obviously all this remained very mysterious a long time and its training was very limited and kept secret.

One can roughly connect these Eastern energy points to points corresponding to the Western anatomy: the points of pressures are located on hot areas of the body, the points of passage of nerves or large blood-vessels, on vulnerable zones of the head and neck, on internal vital bodies such as the heart, the liver, the lungs, the kidneys…

To be effective, a blow thus does not need to be inevitably extremely precise, a strong striking on the zone surrounding a certain point will be likely great to involve the desired effect. However, it is necessary to know the meridian lines of circulation of vital energy " chi" and to know the rate/rhythm of circulation of cett energy. the goal of striking Dim Mak is to create an imbalance (or a rebalancing in the case of care) by deficiency or surge of energy in the vital bodies

To illustrate Dim Mak, let us take the example of the point named Stomack 9 or Estomac 9 :

In acupuncture this point makes it possible to look after various pathologies such as arterial hypertension, the anginas or the goiters.
If it is struck, even little violently, it can involve a faintness or a loss of consciousness, to see a death immediate or delayed…
This point in fact is located on the side zone antéro of the neck, just on the Sinus carotidien.

On the level of the sine carotidien is baro-receivers allowing to control the blood pressure, the stimulation as of these baro-receivers (following a blow localized) for a cardio-inhibitory purpose and vasodepressor what can involve a strong fall of the blood-pressure with faintness to see syncope seeing more severe cardiovascular accident being able to involve the death.

To explain an illness or a death of delayed appearance, occurring a few weeks in a few months or years afterwards, one can evoke the progressive appearance, following the blow, of a dissection of the wall of the artery internal carotid, being able to involve an ischemic vascular accident and thus a paralysis to see a death.

As it is seen these last decades, Dim Mak left the shade and art the " touch mortelle" from now on is taught with all and is based on scientific explanations.
