Digitation
see also: Etymology of Digitation
A digitation is a language of ice coming from the glacial Front of a Glacier, a Icecap or a Inlandsis.
The digitations would come from the reminiscence of the various parts of a glacier corresponding to the adjacent glaciers coming to enlarge the principal glacier.
The presence of digitations on the final language of a glacier is revealing of a phase of retreat of a glacier.
