Differential Rotation
The differential rotation is observed when the angular Velocity of a body in Rotation varies according to the Latitude point considered or its distance compared to the axis of rotation. This indicates that this body is not solid.
For example, surfaces of the Sun, Jupiter and Saturn are in differential rotation, the areas close to the equator turning notably more quickly than those close to the pole S.
The Protostar S show also signs of differential rotation.
With very fluid objects, like a Disc of accretion, differential rotation causes a Cisaillement.
