Dieudonné Kayembe Mbandakulu
Dieudonné Kayembe Mbandakulu Tshisuma (born the April 9th 1945) is the chief of general Staff of the Armed forces of the Democratic republic of Congo. Since June 12th, 2007, it has the rank of Lieutenant-general.
Beginnings
Dieudonné Kayembe was born on April 9th, 1945 in Lubumbashi, in Katanga. It made its primary studies with the Athenaeum of Lubumbashi, followed those of the secondary level to that of Mbuji-Mayi to Kasaï Oriental. It is registered with prestigious the military special École of Saint-Cyr military school, in France, which saw ravelling great names of the military world and even policy, in particular Charles de Gaulle. At the conclusion of this formation, it is allowed at the School of application, especially with École of application of the armor-plated weapon cavalry in Saumur, always in France.
From now on called to a honourable course, the Kayembe officer enters, after contest, at the School of command to Fort Knox, Kentucky, in the United States. Its formation in this school will be sanctioned by a staff college certificate.
Career
After the come to power of Desired Laurent Kabila, in May 1997, colonel Dieudonné Kayembe is named principal private secretary associated with the ministry for Defense, and passes from the rank of colonel to the Brigadier general rank of .He is successively named vice-minister of Defense and then of the Rebuilding. Chief of Staff of the general headquarter of the Congolese Armed forces in 2002, it takes up then the duties of managing director of the military Detection of the activities anti-fatherland (DEMIAP), the Intelligence service military Congolese.
June 12th, 2007, it is high with the rank of Lieutenant general and appointed chief of general Staff of the FARDC by the President of the Republic, Joseph Kabila, supreme Commander of these armed forces.
