Diervillaceae
The family of the Diervillacées is an small family of plants Dicotylédone S introduced by the phylogenetic classification which includes/understands 16 species in 2 kinds:
They are shrubs, with opposed sheets, originating in Asia and south-east of the the United States.
The traditional Classification of Cronquist includes these two kinds in the family of the Caprifoliacées.
The Classification APG II (2003) suggests, optionnellement, including this family in that of the Caprifoliacées sensu lato with all the families about the Dipsacales , except the Adoxacées. This proposal does not make however consensus in the scientific community and the individual families are still largely recognized.
