The expression dead or sharp generally appears in the research opinions of criminals, especially of the fatal . It means that if the person concerned is killed or captured alive, the reward is given nevertheless to the hunter.
Being short and spectacular, it is found sometimes in the title of certain films, or novels, violent one.
