die tageszeitung (literally the daily newspaper ) is a German daily newspaper published in Berlin.

Leading line

Created like alternative to the traditional press, the newspaper is declared “disrespectful, commercially independent, intelligent and amusing”. Near to the Green party German, the daily newspaper adopts the positions of the intellectuals of left of the country with standpoint in favor of the feminists and the ecologists.

The taz publishes specific editions for Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Cologne, the Rhineland-of-North-Westphalia, the the Ruhr and the North of the country.

It also ensures the publication of the German version of the diplomatic Monde, whose extracts are also distributed in supplement of the daily newspaper.
